Keilah Jaques

She/Her

Keilah A. Jacques, LMSW CPC, is an applied behavioral scientist trained at Oxford, and an anti-oppression educator. In higher education, she is recognized for her support of social justice competency and skill development. Her work in behavioral science research focuses on contributing to the literature on equity-focused systems interventions. In addition to being an educator and researcher, she is a trained therapist, healing-centered coach, and somatic practitioner. Keilah supports organizational development through the advancement of critical consciousness around racism, structural oppression, and embodied health practices.


She received her social work training at the University of North Texas and conducted research as a Ronal E. McNair Scholar on community-led health policy interventions. Keilah also studied community organizing as systems change at the University of Connecticut and worked as an HIV researcher for the Connecticut Department of Mental Health before studying the NHS care evolution in Oxford, as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. She received training in engaged andragogy at the University of North Texas, Dallas, which launched her teaching trajectory.


In her career, Keilah has developed health equity modalities of facilitation, curriculum design, coaching, and human-centered design. She has provided equity-focused program design and evaluation across various sectors such as health, state governance, non-profit, higher education, and technology, in Texas, Connecticut, Maryland, and now Washington DC. In 2023, she started working with SEIU Nurses to support trauma-informed, self-care as a somatic practitioner.
