Meredith Reitman
She/Her
Dr. Meredith Reitman is a qualitative and quantitative researcher who specializes in exploring how race operates within workplaces. As an academic, she used critical race theory and feminist geography to study how racial belonging influences the experiences of men in the software industry. This framework has continued to guide her work for over two decades by acknowledging racism as an everyday phenomenon, revealing meritocracy as a myth, exploring intersecting racialized oppressions, and centering storytelling by people of color. Her current work focuses on racial equity research, racial pay equity analysis, racially equitable HR, and white leader learning. She currently co-leads Neighbors Against White Supremacy, a Central Queens collective that supports white people taking action in alignment with the goals of collective liberation. She also sometimes worries too much about her pets.
