Mona Khan

She/Her

Shaped--with gratitude--by the wisdom of labor, climate justice, LGBTQ+ and women's rights leaders, Mona Khan sees herself as a coach for personal and collective liberation. She identifies as Desi (South Asian), GenX, cis-gender female, and a ‘third culture kid’. She has built participatory models for strengthening grassroots movements and worked with a wide range of human rights organizations and movements in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the U.S. Mona works with clients to stand in their power, cultivate emotional intelligence and leadership skills, and connect across differences in identity, experience and perspective. She majored in political science and economics at Sarah Lawrence College and the London School of Economics, and as a MacArthur Scholar, earned an M.A. at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs (University of Minnesota). Mona is a Co-Creator of the Social Identity Coaching Lab, a practice that works with leaders, organizations, and collectives to shift power, build thriving cultures and accelerate work for racial, economic and gender justice.
