Abukamau Ali-Ibrahim

Abukamau (Abu) Ali-Ibrahim is Founder and Principal at Intrepid Partners Consulting and Coaching, an organization and human systems consulting practice. As an organization consultant, he focuses on organization development and change; leadership development; and team effectiveness.

Abu has worked in various industry sectors. His experience includes labor relations, organization development, leadership development, human resources management, and organizational culture change initiatives. Having previously been a member of the UAW and the Teamsters, Abu is comfortable working in union environments. He has a history of respectful and effective working relationships with the local leadership of the TWU, IAM, IBEW, and UNITE in labor-management relations.

Abu is an ICF certified coach at the PCC level. His coaching orientation is fundamentally about the client’s growth, development and personal liberation. Abu supports clients in becoming the leader they desire to be, grounded in the essence of who they are as unique, whole and dignified human beings. As an organization consultant and leadership coach, Abu has a straightforward manner and pragmatic approach to partnering with clients. He’s a thought partner, confidant and advocate for that which is just, equitable, client validating and life-affirming. Abu is committed to helping leaders discover and embrace their courageous core for the sake of creating more just, humane and effective organizations and human systems.

Abu has an M.S. in Organization Development from American University; an M.S. in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin—Madison; and a B.A. in Social Science from Michigan State University. He holds certificates from the Georgetown University's Executive Leadership Coaching Certification Program, the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland’s International Organization and Systems Development Program, and the Principles and Practices of Organization Development Program at Teachers College—Columbia University. He’s also an alumnus of the Stanford University Interpersonal Dynamics Facilitation Program.
