Alejandro Covarrubias

Dr. Alejandro Covarrubias is the President of Foundations for Hope & Justice Consulting. He has 13 years of experience as an organizational development consultant and has worked with universities, tech start-ups, and non-profits to build their capacity for equity, inclusion, and anti-racism work. He hopes to support individuals and organizations develop their awareness, knowledge, and skills to identify exclusionary practices and create tangible strategies to build more equitable and effective organizations. 



Alejandro has over 15 years of experience of leading equity and inclusion work in Higher Education settings. His professional experiences include serving as the Executive Director of Equity, Access, and Belonging for a large public university for three years and serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership Studies for four years. He is also faculty for the Social Justice Training Institute (SJTI.org).



Dr. Covarrubias completed his B.A. in Psychology at Gonzaga University; and received an M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University. He earned his Ed.D. in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco. He is also certified in the StrengthsFinder assessment, the Intercultural Development Inventory, and the Social and Emotional Intelligence Profile.
