Brad Luckhardt

I am Brad Luckhardt (he/him), a consultant and coach focused on supporting organizations and individuals committed to advancing social, economic, and racial equity. I work in partnership with leaders and teams as they develop collective visions, set goals, strive to work more collaboratively, and seek to transform their work, organizations, and themselves to be more equitable and effective.

Since 2015, I have led over 120 consulting engagements with nonprofit, government, philanthropic, and community-based organizations both large and small with missions to advance racial justice, reform immigration and criminal legal systems, advocate for queer and trans rights, organize and build power within their community, build and maintain affordable housing, support young people, and provide mental and physical health services. I have experience working with SEIU organizers in their participation in a coalition to transform a hospital in partnership with the communities it served.

Before becoming a consultant and coach, I was the Director of Business Development for Tides, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides financial and management services to nonprofits and funders committed to positive social change. I was also a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in a small coal-mining town in eastern Ukraine’s Donbass, where I was a school teacher and community organizer.

I have a Master of Science in Organizational Change Management from The New School, where my research focused on leadership transitions by long-tenured founders of nonprofit organizations.

I am trained in Facilitative Leadership and Racial Equity Consulting by the Interaction Institute for Social Change and have a certificate in Board Governance Consulting from BoardSource. I read, write, and speak Russian (although I’m a little rusty).

I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota where I enjoy cycling around with my partner and kid in search of good food, coffee, and birds.
