Jason Biehl
Jason Biehl is an anti-racist educator, facilitator, and history teacher, who founded Change The Narrative in 2017, working collaboratively as a trainer and educational consultant to further racial equity within organizations and schools. He believes in the benefit of “interrogating whiteness” work and is active in nurturing anti-racist community. As part of the Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ DC) Education team, he designed curriculum and organized a Masculinity and Whiteness Reading Group, which has been transformative for white men in this work. He has experience as a youth organizer, as well as a one-on-one coach. His writing has been published over the past 10 years, by Global Grind, Sense Publishers, Dirt, and Counterpunch. In fall 2022, his piece White Men Reimagined was published by Teaching While White, and What is the Role of White Men in Stopping the Republican Party? was published by The Good Men Project. He has been a featured guest on the podcast Recovery and Transformation with Sameer Dossani, as well as Taking Off The Mask with Ashanti Branch. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in African-American Studies and received his Social Studies teaching credential from San Francisco State University.
