Julye Williams

Julye M. Williams is a dynamic facilitator with superpowers in creating powerful learning experiences about race, equity, and inclusion. She is also highly skilled in instructional design and project management. A seasoned educator, she currently serves as an adjunct professor, teaching a course on Race and Racism at American University in Washington, DC. She is often praised for her calm demeanor, strategic focus, and ability to create welcoming environments for people of all identities to learn, grow, and take action. She believes that understanding the creation of race and its impact on laws and narratives can help individuals and teams intentionally create more inclusive workplaces.


Julye’s broad experience includes initiatives with the National Education Association, our nation’s largest teacher’s union. Within their departments, Julye helped bring a racial equity lens to their LGBTQ+ Staff Training Series and create culturally inclusive environments. Her subject matter expertise spans a range of critical topics, including DEI 101, Unconscious Bias, Psychological Safety, Microaggressions, Multigenerational Workplaces, and How to Create Inclusive Workplaces, ensuring she can effectively address many challenges.


With a deep understanding of how changing U.S. demographics affects everyone, Julye is passionate about empowering organizations to foster inclusive environments where people of all identities can thrive.


Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Julye holds an MBA from Florida A&M University and resides in the greater Washington, DC, metro area. She is a leader in education and DEI and is dedicated to fostering inclusive excellence and driving positive change across the U.S.
